Step One: The Consultation

Step Two: The Ear Examination
Our trained audiologists will examine your ear to identify any obstructions or damage to the ear canal or eardrum that could be causing your hearing issues. This is done using an otoscope or video otoscope, tools designed specifically for outer ear inspection.
Step Three: The Hearing Evaluation
Next, we conduct several tests to ascertain the specifics of your hearing loss. These may include:
- A pure-tone hearing test to determine your ability to hear across different frequencies (250 – 8000Hz)
- A speech assessment to understand your capability of hearing and comprehending everyday conversation at varying volumes
- A middle-ear evaluation to ascertain how your eardrum and hearing respond to different levels of air pressure
The results of these tests, particularly the pure-tone hearing test, are charted on an audiogram, providing a visual representation of your hearing loss by frequency. We'll help you interpret this audiogram, and understand what your difficulties with high or low pitches mean for your hearing health moving forward.
